Elisha Orin Photography bio picture

Hello! Good Day!

Hello!!! Welcome to my blog! This is the place where you get to see all my most current work and everything that's happening in my life. I can't wait to share the exciting events happening at Elisha Orin Photography.

I have been a professional photographer for over 6 years and I love my job! I get to travel everywhere and photograph people in love. How exciting is that? I have a BA in Photography and Fine Art. I studied at Miami International Fine Arts College and then finished at Edinboro University. I reside in both NY and St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands and am happy to travel anywhere you'd like to photograph your events. I strive to capture your moments with a fresh and modern approach. I specialize in wedding photography, high school senior photography, engagement sessions, boudoir photography,  babies, and family photography. I would love the opportunity to photograph your next big event!

141 days on island: Day 15 , when coconuts fall.

yes it happened , one in a million chance….never seen before ……. a coconut fell on the head of a groomsmen ….just before the ceremony started. 20 minutes before this, I was talking about how statistics show that you are more likely to die by getting hit in the head by a coconut then a shark attack……thank goodness this groomsmen is ok…..his new name Coco……cant wait to blog this wedding soon.

141 days on island: Day 15

a time lapse from my window…how many cruise ships do you see…..

141 days on island: Day 13

What time is it on island?????? Thought this would be a good time to mention that if you are coming in to st thomas make sure you know that your ship time might just be different than st thomas time. In St thomas right now we are 1 hour ahead of NY. But when the states switch their time. St thomas will not so then st thomas will be on eastern time. This can get quite confusing. just so you know……………………….

Now onto this awesome couple….remember them?? I drove to Ohio to photograph them on Leighannas grandmas farm. …( Also they are below in the video if you missed that)  …The first time I photographed the couple I couldn’t wait until their wedding. I was literally counting down the days because they are just my cup a tea. The crazy thing is that it rained for their whole engagement shoot and then for most of the wedding as well. … I think they look good in the rain…don’t you say??  …oh yes we also spent sometime chasing chickens…trying to get them into the shots. ( no chickens were harmed..just a bit frazzled) xoxox Leighanna and Jacob!! Your awesome! Together we make the stars shine…oh my that was corner…but there is some truth to that!!

141 days on island: Day 10

Today…took the most incredible walk …found the most amazing house that appears to be left  vacant. It is a frank loud wright inspired house. Needs a little TLC. Now we are dreaming of owning it….my favorite part is the tree that grows around it. It feels like Swiss family Robinson…next time I will bring the camera.

also I am playing a bit of catch up on the blog I still have a few events from the mainland left to blog. Here was the romantic wedding of Robert and Lisa……in NY
