Hello! Good Day!

Hello!!! Welcome to my blog! This is the place where you get to see all my most current work and everything that's happening in my life. I can't wait to share the exciting events happening at Elisha Orin Photography.

I have been a professional photographer for over 6 years and I love my job! I get to travel everywhere and photograph people in love. How exciting is that? I have a BA in Photography and Fine Art. I studied at Miami International Fine Arts College and then finished at Edinboro University. I reside in both Jamestown, NY and St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands and am happy to travel anywhere you'd like to photograph your events. I strive to capture your moments with a fresh and modern approach. I specialize in wedding photography, high school senior photography, engagement sessions, boudoir photography,  babies, and family photography. I love my job but there is a sharp cruelty to it…….. You get to meet a wonderful couple and you basically know a whole bunch about them before you leave their wedding. You get to see a very personal side to them. You come as a stranger and when you leave they are hugging you and thanking you…you leave as a friend. Sometimes I even get requests to stay and dance for awhile. I don’t however because I want to be professional and I’m sort of a crazy dancer..lol. The truth is you will talk to them through emails and maybe on the phone after that but you will probably never see them again. Its sort of sad. Its like someone drops you off  best friends and you have a blast for a day, then takes your friends away. There are some people that you photograph that are so special because they posses so many awesome characteristics. Like Alissa and Alan. So in love. So in to each other. Amazing family. Amazing friends.

February 10, 2010 - 3:21 pm Kathy - WOW! I was at Alan and Alissa's wedding and the few pictures you have here really capture the essence of their beach wedding down to the little details. Their love for each other really shows through in your pictures, they are awesome. I can't wait to see the rest of them!
