Everybody had a song!

As I was posting these images the song Home on the Range came to me.   When  my kids were babies I gave them each a special song that I would only sing to them. Home on the Range was my son Isaac’s song. I would sing that song a million times a day. I would sing it in all music genres, high, low, loud, soft. This song is so special to me. Its the song that I sang while holding  this precious baby that I just adored.  I’m so thankful to be a mother. What a gift.

Here is a fantastic family who has a range and a sweet baby girl of their own……………..

December 3, 2009 - 6:51 am Joan Hinderer - My favorite Christmas memory/tradition is when we put up the nativity. No matter how busy, crazy, streesed that we get about the holiday season, I love to stop, and say: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS. That is why we celebrate Christmas. We seem to forget that at times, but I want to keep that the reason for the season. Thanks Elisha.

December 4, 2009 - 11:03 am brianne - my favorite Christmas was 2005, my husband and I's first Christmas together. We had moved down to Memphis TN from Canada and I was devastated that it was not going to be a white Christmas. On Christmas morning I woke up and it was completely white; God answers such little prayers! So, that Christmas i felt a little bit of "home" away from "home"!

January 11, 2010 - 6:24 pm sandra ditonto - My favorite Christmas memory? Well, our April was just a little tyke and wanted to know all about Jesus' Birthdays. "What were they like, Mommy? Did he have candles and cake and "pwesents"? I tried to explain the best way I knew how Jesus gave Himself to us on His Birthday and how He loved us so. The whole time, she was sucking her little thumb with her blankie up against her cheek. She was very quiet and contemplative the entire time. When I was finished, she was silent for what seemed to be a very long time. All of a sudden, she pulled her thumb out of her mouth, looked up at me with the biggest smile and giggled, "Mommy! Isn't it just like Jesus to give us presents on His Birthday!" Our little April got engaged this Christmas Season to the most wonderful young man and she still marvels at God's best gifts to us. End of story, but love, love, love the abundance of emotion and passion in your beautiful pictures!
