When I arrived at the wedding location Martyn, the groom was still working on the finishing touches for the wedding……. Martyn has got to be the most multi talented person on this earth! He put so much time into making his wedding special for everyone and had so many surprises for his beautiful bride kirstie! His creations were just breathtaking! The wedding was set deep in the woods, the very spot he played as a kid. The wedding guests were seated on benches that were logs cut in half and coated with gloss. Slate stone was laid to make the aisle that led to a beautiful alter. Martyn turned the woods into a real chapel by making a real stained glass window that sat among the trees. Flowers were planted , lanterns and strings of lights lit the whole scene. The dance floor was built to hang over the creek. The guests ate dinner in a big white tent adorned with white china, fern centerpieces, and rock place cards( so clever). So you may ask where were the Porto potties.?..there were none… Martyn thought of every detail, even where we would go pee! He made a his /her outhouse!
Now that I have described the scene let me tell you about the wedding.. The bride who everyone would agree is just breathtaking was delivered to the wedding spot by her dad in a old model T. As she walked down the isle Martyn began to cry/sob and then of course Kirstie did the same. When it came time to exchange rings Martyn had the most amazing surprise for his bride…First I need to give you the background info… When Martyn and Kirstie went to buy their wedding bands Kirstie really loved this particular one but decided it was to expensive so she settled by selecting a different one……. When Martyn placed the ring on Kirsties hand she was so surprised to see the one that she really admired….So Romantic…. After they were married we took many photos while listening to Uncle Ron sing ( you would just have to meet uncle Ron to get why I would mention this)..Then on to dinner…the food was great and went awesome with the famous Inkley family homemade Black Magic Wine. If you are a collector….You need to add this wine to your collection! The guests danced all night! And just before I left Martyn had another surprise for his Bride….Fireworks!
I can’t say enough about this couple. They have inspired me to love deeper and work harder! I had so much fun at this wedding! Note to Martyn and Kirstie: You are amazing ! There is something so special about the 2 of you. It was a privelage to photograph this wedding! Martyn, thanks for making it amazing and kirstie thanks for being such an laid back, beautiful and incredible bride!)
